San Marino is a small and lovely country situated on the eastern side of the Apennine Mountains, but it is also the name of the new band of Camp's former frontman Dominic Suter. The three members of this new band live all in Zurich and their sound is emotional, pure and dreamy.
San Marino's self-titled debut album will be released on Fictional Island Records, a new division of the Zurich based label Alpinechic, on may 20th and it will be available on cd and digital download. Record release concerts on 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th June at La Catrina in Zurich, where San Marino will perform as Band of the Month.
Storm waves crash onto the hull of the three-masted San Marino, as it passes through waters familiar and waters unknown. Once the wind stops and calm spreads across the sky, guitars and barrels of rum are brought on deck. The sight of a tropical beach or the welcoming light of a friendly harbour at dawn invites them to berth the vessel for the night. The members of the crew on board the San Marino are: Dominic Suter on microphone, bass, guitar and keys, Peter Nachname on guitar and mandolin, as well as Kid Ølling on drums, microphone and guitar.
